Hybrid rape
For 17 years, Deleplanque has produced hybrid winter and spring rapeseeds.
Hybrid winter rape
We produce winter rapeseeds in the south-east and south-west, two regions where the harvests start from mid-June. In this way, thanks to early ripening in the two areas, our breeding partners have winter rapeseeds at their disposal from the beginning of July, and they avoid building up overly large stocks of crops from the previous year.
All rapeseed production crops are systematically irrigated and swathed before harvesting. These practices favour a quality rapeseed harvest and regular yields.
All required roguing operations are managed and controlled by the Deleplanque teams.
Our drying capabilities, important in these two areas, also allow us to overcome the unusual bad weather which could disturb the seed harvesting.
The industrial facilities of Manosque and Villefollet are equipped to ensure sorting operations prior to treatment and bagging.
Line and hybrid spring rapes
Hybrid spring rape is produced in Hauts de France, Normandie and Brittany in plots close to the coastline. These choices aim to limit stress as much as possible and to benefit from rainfall climatology and temperatures which rarely exceed 25ºC. These regions also have the advantage of being unharmed by winter rapeseed and destructive insects such as pollen beetles or seed pod weevils.
Once harvested, the spring rapeseeds are systematically dried, whether it is by the already equipped farmer, or by the drying and storage sites belonging to Deleplanque and under its control.
The standards implemented by Deleplanque allow quality rapeseeds to be delivered and yields to be obtained which are very often higher than 14 qx/ha for hybrid spring rape and 25 qx/ha for line spring rape.
